Meeting was called to order by President Ray DeVries.
He then read a poem called "Tri Corner Hat" by Ralph Pryor.
He then pointed out that section 6 of the US Constitution invalidates the appointment of Senator Kerry as Secretary of State as being unconstitutional because he did not fulfill his full term of elected office.
Pledges to the United States flag, the Texas Flag and to the Flag of the Sons of the American Revolution were led by James Hastings.
Prayer was led by Mike Nichols.
Guests were introduced.
January and March 2013 minutes were approved.
Treasurer's report was unavailable because of illness of the treasurer.
ROTC Report given by James Hastings. He stated that GHS will be presenting a medal to a ROTC student.
New members John Ingle and Nicholas Kelley were inducted into the Society. Induction performed by associate registrar Henry Walden, historian Roger Gore and President Ray DeVries.
Supplement compatriot certificates were presented to Henry Walden, Don Witherspoon and James Scott.
President noted that our chapter was presented an award for most number of supplementals.
TXSSAR District 4 Vice President Ron Walcik provided us with information about updates from the state convention.
After breaking for lunch, James Scott introduced our speaker, Glen Watkins - Rocket Scientist, who told us numerous stories about unknown tidbits of the Apollo moon missions.
