After a few lighthearted stories and words of inspiration, the meeting was called to order by President Ray DeVries.
Pledges to the United States flag, the Texas flag and the flag of the Sons of The American Revolution were led by Henry Walden.
Prayer was led by Mike Nichols.
Guests were introduced.
April minutes were approved.
President gave the treasurers report in the absence of Bill Freeman. We have $2413 in our account.
James Hastings reported regarding the ROTC Medal awarded to Tyler Soberanes.
Tom Northen gave a report about presenting medals at Stony Point High School ROTC.
David Kirkland reported about McNeil and Vista Ridge High Schools presentations.
President DeVries read the names of the officers of the original charter for Alexander Hamilton #66 and expressed his appreciation for their commitment to the organization of the chapter.
He also reminded us that Patrick Henry chapter will be celebrating their 75th anniversary with a dinner on May 18th.
After breaking for lunch, James Scott introduced our speaker, Precinct 3 County Commissioner Valerie Covey. Ms. Covey reported about statistics, services, issues and information about Williamson County.
James Scott presented Ms. Covey with a memento of her visit.
President DeVries announced that our next meeting will be June 8, again at Mel's Bowling Alley, with David Alan Smith as our speaker, with the topic of "Women In The Revolution".
Henry Walden led our recessional.
Mike Nichols closed in prayer.
