At 11:00 a.m., President Ray DeVries lowered the gavel.
Before moving into official business, he shared a story called "The Back Nine".
President DeVries then led the pledges to the United States flag, the Texas flag, and the SAR flag.
Chaplain Mike Nichols voiced the invocation.
Secretary Rick Malley introduced our 12 guests and acknowledged that there were 17 members present.
At this time, the minutes of the October meeting were approved.
Treasurer Bill Freeman gave the treasurer's report.
New members Rick Denham and Greg Caswell were inducted by President Ray DeVries, Registrar Dan Stauffer, and Historian Roger Gore. The members were welcomed with the presentation of the rosette of the SAR.
Mike Hovatter with the Hocheim Group presented a check in the amount of $500.00 to our chapter.
President DeVries stated that our Registrar, Dan Stauffer, has been selected as a recipient of the Outstanding Patriot Award.
President DeVries gave an updated regarding the flag certificate that our state president has endorsed.
He also stated that we know of three Eagle Scouts who will be presented with the SAR Eagle Scout Award.
We were reminded that our December meeting will be a buffet meal. Past President Harlan Green also reminded us that December was the month of Valley Forge and requested that all members who have uniforms should wear them.

At 12:10, President DeVries read another humorous story.
President-Elect Jim Scott reminded us of December's meeting and also that Marvin Morgan will give a presentation about uniforms.
President-Elect Scott introduced our speaker - current Chaplain and charter Alexander Hamilton #66 member, Mike Nichols, who is also a member of the Mayflower Society.
Mike gave a presentation about the Pilgrims, in which he verified some facts and dispelled some myths about the early settlers.
President-Elect Scott presented Mike with a token of appreciation for his presentation.
We were then reminded again of the December meeting and costs.
President DeVries led the SAR Recessional.
Chaplain Nichols led us in prayer.
