- President James Scott called the meeting to order

- President elect Lane Redwine led the pledges to the flag of the United States Of America, the State Of Texas, and the Sons Of The American Revolution

- Mr. Mike Nichols led our opening prayer

- Secretary Rick Malley introduced our guests

- President Scott informed us that Henry Walden, our Registrar, is in the hospital, as is Frank Wickstrom, our Sargent at Arms

- The group approved the minutes of the April meeting.

- President Scott, Past President Ray DeVries, and Historian Roger Gore inducted William Atley, Mark Balducci, and Ralph Mason, with Frank Elrod and Will Else as stand ins.

- Mr. Scott told us about the Mott family, who sacrificed their home for the defeat of the British, in South Carolina

- It was told that the Color Guard would be participating in the Memorial Day ceremony at the Texas State Cemetery, and anyone with uniform was invited to attend. In addition, color guard members are invited to participate in ceremonies at Sun City on July 1. the color guard will be presenting at a Naturalization ceremony at the Austin Convention Center. And they also posted colors at the Sun City DAR meeting.

- Several JROTC awards were presented to cadets in April and May.

- It was noted that this month (May) is the seventh anniversary of the charter ceremony of Alexander Hamilton #66

- Two weeks ago, Operation Ancestry Search met, with 4 attendees from the chapter, but only one service member. The next session will be Wednesday May 18.

- Treasurer Bill Freeman noted that we have $2,097.95 in the coffers, with $414.00 of that being from our state dues.


- Dr. J.F. de la Teja, Professor of History at Texas State University, spoke about "A Forgotten Part of the American Revolution: Spain's Role from Texas to Yorktown."

- Mr. Redwine presented Dr. de la Teja with a memento of his time with us.

- Mr. Redwine led our SAR recessional

- Mr. Nichols closed in prayer.
