It is my sad task to inform you of the passing of our beloved compatriot, Dan Stauffer. I spoke with his wife, Georgine, a few moments ago and gave her our condolences on behalf of all members of Alexander Hamilton. She was very glad to hear from me. She said that she does not know anyone in Princeton, so she is not having a service for Dan there. She said that in the Fall she would like to come back so we could get together for an hour, perhaps at a bar, and remember our late friend. Georgine will contact me later on to discuss the details.

Dan was a veteran of WWII and made the Star Flight trip to Washington, DC to see the memorial in the last year or so. He was a founding member who served Alexander Hamilton as Registrar for several years, receiving a medal from the SAR for recruiting the most compatriots to the SAR during a year. He was always dependable and will be missed.

Respectfully,

Lane Redwine, President
