On Monday April 18th, 2005, Fred Preston presented awards for the Poster
Contest to St. Cyprians School 5th graders at an assembly in the gymnasium. The
Poster contest subject this year was George Washington Crossing the Delaware,
Christmas Eve, 1775. Pictured left to right, back row, Elizabeth Foster, 5th
grade teacher and Fred Preston. Middle row, left to right, those receiving
Certificates of Appreciation were Sarah Stafford, Patrick Haney, Cody Gelvin and
Miranda Waldeck. John David Eddins was not present. In the front row, left to
right, 1st place winner, Zach Watson, 3-$50 bonds, 2nd place Phoebe Roberts,
2-$50 bonds and 3rd place Abby Gail McCarty, 1-$50 bond.(This was a newspaper
release to Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Diboll and Woodville papers.)
