Mayor signing Proclamation

During WWII a program was created for mothers of sons in active military service. This program was called "Blue Star Mothers". The American Legion passed a resolution in 2001 to revitalize the concept for entire families. The program is now known as "Blue Star Service Banner" program. Rita Foster is trying to get the program revived in Lufkin and is seeking volunteers to help with this project.
