Travel and Convention Expense Allowance

The Texas Society, Sons of the American Revolution will reimburse Travel and Convention expenses for contest winners as follows:

Hotel - TXSSAR will pay for one hotel room if the contestant’s home is more than 100 miles from the meeting site.  This reimbursement is for a room only and neither room service nor phone service will be reimbursed.  This is a standard room available for TXSSAR members.

Mileage - TXSSAR will pay for mileage by car at the rate of $.14 per mile each way for a round trip if the contestant’s home is more than 50 miles from the meeting site.  Point-to-point mileage will be calculated using the MapQuest web-site.

Award Luncheon - TXSSAR will provide two lunch tickets for each contest winner when contestants are requested to attend the State Meeting.  Additional tickets may be purchased by the contestant or the sponsoring chapter from the Host chapter.  Advanced purchase of additional lunch tickets is required.

Award recipients are responsible for any/all other costs including additional meals.  If there are any questions about reimbursements, please contact the Chairman of your respective contest.
